How does the Land Bank work?

The Land Bank is a fundamental part of the Districts world and economy, as it facilitates claiming Land Pixels, land deposits against tokens and reclaiming returned land.

When a user claims land, the Land Bank automatically allocates a Land Pixel, which the user must manually claim and mint. During this process, the claimant gains immediate access to tokens with no transfer restrictions or lock-up periods.

Users can trade their claimed Land in the Marketplace, with a portion of each transaction supporting the Land Bank. Additionally, Land Pixels can be returned to the Land Bank anytime, ensuring that users receive the current floor price for their land. If users reclaim their returned Land Pixels, they can do so at the current price plus applicable fees, especially if market conditions are favorable.

In the next phase of Districts, users will have the opportunity to create and build on their Land Pixels, further enhancing the value of both their individual properties and the Land Bank itself.
