How do I get $RIO and participate in the Districts LandRush?
The first Districts LandRush is scheduled for April 15, 2025, with New York as the inaugural region where you can mint Land Pixels. Below is a concise overview of how to participate:
Set Up a Web3 Wallet
Prepare an EVM-compatible wallet (e.g., MetaMask) configured for the Realio Network. This wallet will hold your Native $RIO (Realio Network Token) and, eventually, your Land Pixel NFTs.
Acquire Native $RIO Tokens
You’ll need 5,000 $RIO (plus gas fees) per Land Pixel. If you currently have $RIO on a non-native network (e.g., Ethereum, BNB), bridge it to the Realio Network. Refer to our official guide for step-by-step instructions on bridging and custom network setup.
Access the DistrictsPlatform
When the LandRush goes live, visit the official Districtswebsite to enter. A map-based UI will display available pixels in New York.
Select a Land Parcel
Browse the map and choose an unclaimed Land Pixel (a hexagon-shaped parcel). You may search by coordinates, landmarks, or simply explore the map. Each parcel indicates whether it’s still claimable.
Claim the Land
Click the desired parcel and follow the on-screen prompts. You’ll deposit 5,000 Native $RIO into the Land Bank to mint the parcel. Confirm the transaction in your wallet. Once finalized on-chain, your Land Pixel NFT is minted and assigned to your address.
Confirmation & View
After claiming, the parcel should appear as owned by you. You can view it in your profile or wallet (it’s an NFT representing your land). You’ll also receive $DSTRX tokens, granting you a voice in Districts governance.
Pro Tips
Pixels may be claimed rapidly, so having Native $RIO ready in your wallet is key.
The LandRush is initially limited to New York, but future events—decided by $DSTRX community votes—will unlock additional cities.
If you miss out or need more $RIO, you can explore secondary sales in the Districts Marketplace or wait for subsequent land releases.
